Why Does Netcrawler Charge a Return Shipping Fee? | Cancellation

Why do you charge a return shipping fee when I cancel my service?

With Netcrawler, you’re free to sign up or cancel anytime — there are no term contracts, and no large penalties to pressure you into staying.

That said, if you borrowed our equipment, we charge a $30 return shipping fee at cancellation. As a smaller independent ISP, we don’t receive the same shipping discounts as the major carriers, and returning equipment comes with real costs. To keep our monthly pricing as low as possible, we charge this fee only when a return is needed, rather than including it in every customer’s plan.

The return fee helps cover:

  • The courier cost to ship the equipment back to us

  • Receiving and processing the return at our warehouse

  • Cleaning, disinfecting, and safely repackaging the equipment for the next customer

  • Normal wear and tear from shipping and handling, so we can repair or replace equipment as needed

In short, this isn’t a profit charge — it’s simply to cover the cost of getting the equipment back in good condition while keeping pricing fair and transparent for everyone.
